As a precautionary measure with increased cases in our immediate area, Mounties Group has decided to close Mounties until next Wednesday 5 August as your safety is our number one priority.

This is not a directive from NSW Health, but Mounties Group has voluntarily decided to take this preventative action to minimise any risk during these next few crucial days.

Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your patience and ongoing support during this difficult time. We wish to reiterate that all decisions made by Mounties Group have been made with your best interests at heart.

Your safety is paramount and remains our priority and as such, we have devised a plan that will see Mounties reopen in a staged manner. Similar to our previous re-opening, a staggered approach will allow us to adapt very quickly to changes to ensure your safety in our venue.

The re-opening of Mounties has been planned in consultation with medical experts and as we have always done, enforces stricter measures than those that have been recommended by NSW Health.

During temporary closure, we have continued our thorough cleaning in the venue to give an extra level of security to people as they return to Mounties. Mounties will be re-opening under the following approach, with some dates yet to be confirmed.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Mounties as safely as possible and appreciate your continued support.

Update 29 July 2020

NSW Health has contacted the club regarding a member who visited Mounties on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th July who has since tested positive to COVID-19.

This member did not display any symptoms of COVID-19 and was tested after being linked to one of the 4 funerals previously identified by NSW Health.

This individual was at our Mt Pritchard club during the below listed times:

  • Thursday 23rd July, 7pm - Midnight or

  • Friday 24th July, 11am - Friday 24th July, 3pm or

  • Friday 24th July, 8pm - Saturday 25th July, 3am

The club has provided the contact details of any patrons and staff that were on the premises during this time to NSW Health, who will be contacting staff and members who they believe to be at risk.

Mounties Group has contacted these individuals in an effort to reduce the potential of any further transmission asking them to isolate until they receive further clarification from NSW HEALTH.

The health and wellbeing of Mounties members and guests is always our highest priority and all our venues including Mounties comply with NSW government measures in order to be a COVID safe venue. Further, Mounties Group has been operating under a strict CovidSAFE plan that goes above and beyond mandated requirements. This includes temperature checking of staff and patrons, reducing venue capacities by over 60% and regular intensive cleaning practices reducing the probability of transmission. Our cleaning practices utilise quality cleaning products as well as innovative UV wand and fogging technology to ensure the highest level of sanitisation.

Regular and thorough cleaning at Mounties continues and is focused on all high frequency touch points including amenities with a deep clean each time we close.

In line with NSW Health’s advice, Mounties remains open with hygiene and safety precautions and procedures in place to minimise risk. We encourage people to follow the NSW Government health advice for further updates.
